What is Postmortem

What is Postmortem?

Postmortem is a behavioural analysis tool for crypto futures traders — a trading journal that reads your history and names the habit costing you the most money. It compares the trades carrying a behaviour against your own trades without it, so a finding is a difference from your normal expectancy rather than generic advice, and it reports "not enough data" rather than guessing when the sample is too small. It auto-syncs your trades from seven exchanges — Binance, Bybit, OKX, MEXC, Bitget, BingX and Bitunix — using read-only API keys, or imports a closed-trade CSV from any venue, then stamps every trade with a plain-English verdict (CLEAN, FLAGGED or MIXED) and auto-tags the mistakes that quietly drain futures accounts: revenge entries, oversizing and deleted stops. Beyond logging, it coaches — it totals the cost of each recurring habit, sizes positions by risk with a free calculator, and lets Pro users backtest a setup on real, blind chart history. Analytics break your P&L down by setup, session, symbol and hold time, with fees and funding netted out so the numbers are honest. It is built specifically for crypto perpetual futures — not adapted from a stock journal — and starts free with no card, no auto-renewal, and local payment options for Southeast Asia.

Pro accounts also get a separate crypto portfolio tracker for what you hold rather than how you trade: spot balances from six exchanges, watch-only wallets on nine chains (Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base, Arbitrum, Polygon, Solana, Bitcoin, Tron and SUI), and weighted-average cost basis derived from a transaction ledger you control. It treats synced quantity as fact and refuses to invent a cost it doesn't have — quantity your ledger can't explain reads "cost basis unknown" instead of being valued at a guess. Tokens that carry a contract are priced by that contract rather than by their ticker, so a coin impersonating a real one's symbol is left unpriced rather than given its price. It is a tracker, not a tax tool, and its numbers never touch the trading journal's risk math.

The evidence

The evidence, organized against you.

Every screen answers one question: why did that trade happen — and is it going to happen again next Tuesday?

The coach

A verdict on every trade — in sentences, not indicators

CLEAN, FLAGGED or MIXED. Not "RSI divergence detected" — more like "you moved your stop again, and it cost you $44 this month." The coach reads your stops, sizing, timing and mood tags, then tells you the one thing to fix next time.

A journal you'll actually keep

Mood, setup, mistakes — tagged in seconds, not paragraphs. Plus a daily pre-plan so tomorrow-you has orders from today-you.

Your fills walk in on their own

Read-only keys pull every fill and open position from Binance, Bybit, OKX and four more. No withdrawal permissions, ever.

Find the leak, not more charts

P&L split by setup, session, symbol and hold time — so 'I do fine except Sundays after midnight' stops being a feeling and becomes a fact.

Size it before you regret it

Fixed-risk position sizing in two inputs. The fat-fingered 20× 'oops' never makes it to the exchange.

Backtest on real candles, blindPro

We drop you at a hidden date in real market history. Step forward bar by bar, trade your setup, and see the win rate it actually has — not the one it has in your memory. Hindsight can't cheat when it doesn't know the date.

What you hold, and what you paidPro

Spot balances from six exchanges and watched wallets on nine chains, with cost basis worked out from a ledger you control. It won't invent a cost it doesn't know, and it prices tokens by contract — so a scam coin borrowing a real ticker gets no price instead of a fake one. Separate from your journal, always: holdings never touch your risk math.

Why this exists

I kept my journal in a spreadsheet for two years. It was immaculate — every winner carefully logged, every loss quietly "forgotten" until the weekend, then backfilled from memory. The memory was generous.

The truth was in the exchange history the whole time: the same mistake, on repeat, wearing slightly different candles. I didn't need another indicator. I needed a record I couldn't lie to.

So Postmortem syncs the fills straight from the exchange, stamps a verdict on each one, and says the uncomfortable part out loud. It's the tool I wish someone had handed me two accounts ago.

How it works

Three steps to a cleaner P&L.

01

Get your history in

Paste a read-only exchange key and your fills walk in by themselves — open positions included, live. On a venue we don't cover? Upload the closed-trade CSV it exports.

02

Read the finding

We compare each behaviour against your own trades without it, and name the one that falls furthest behind — with the win rate, the sample size and what it cost.

03

Cut that one thing

Turn the finding into a rule. Every trade after it is scored against that rule, so next month you find out whether the habit actually changed.

Costs less than the trade you shouldn't have taken.

Frequently asked

Before you open the file.

How do I upgrade my plan?

From the Subscription page — pick Basic or Pro, pay with GCash, Maya, GrabPay, QR Ph, online banking or card, and your plan unlocks the moment payment clears. One payment covers one period; nothing auto-charges.

How does billing work?

One payment buys one period (monthly or yearly) — there is no auto-renewal, so nothing charges you by surprise. When a period ends you simply buy another; pay early and the days stack on top of what you have left.

What exchanges can I connect?

Binance, Bybit, OKX, MEXC, Bitget, BingX and Bitunix — via read-only API keys. Trades sync automatically; the app never gets withdrawal permissions.

Is my API key safe?

Keys are read-only and requests are signed in your browser. To let your connections follow you to another device, the secret is stored encrypted (AES-256) — only our server can decrypt it, and only your logged-in session can request it. Always create keys with trade and withdraw permissions disabled.

What happens to my trade history on each plan?

History is a rolling window: Free keeps the last 30 days, Basic the last 6 months, Pro keeps everything. On Free and Basic, trades older than the window are overwritten as new ones come in — so upgrade to Pro if you want a permanent record.

Do I need a card to start?

No. The Free plan is genuinely free and needs no card — one exchange auto-synced, your last 30 days analysed, and your biggest leak named. Upgrade only when the edge pays for it.

How do I contact support?
