Terms & Conditions

1. What Postmortem is

Postmortem is a trade journaling and analytics tool. It records trades you log or sync, computes statistics over them, and helps you review your own decisions. It does not execute trades, provide signals, or give financial advice.

2. Not financial advice

Nothing in the app — analytics, discipline scores, coaching verdicts, digests, or any generated text — constitutes investment, legal, or tax advice. Trading leveraged crypto derivatives carries substantial risk of loss. You are solely responsible for your trading decisions.

3. Exchange API keys

Exchange connections require read-only API keys. Requests are signed in your browser, and your credentials are held in that browser; an encrypted copy is also kept on our servers so your connections follow you to another device, and it is deleted when you remove the connection. See the Privacy Policy for the detail. You are responsible for creating keys with trade and withdrawal permissions switched off, and for revoking them if you believe they are compromised.

4. Your data

Your trades, journals, and settings are stored against your account and are accessible only to you. You can delete any entry in the app, and you can close your account and have everything erased by emailing support@postmortem-tradingjournal.com from your account address. Trade history is a rolling window on Free and Basic — older trades are permanently deleted rather than archived, so export or upgrade before you need them. The worked example on the public demo page is generated, not a real customer’s trading.

5. Subscriptions

Plans (Free, Basic, Pro) are bought from the app’s subscription page through PayMongo hosted checkout, in Philippine pesos. One payment buys one period and nothing auto-renews, so no charge can happen by surprise; paying early stacks the days onto what you have left. Your plan is granted once payment clears. Downgrading to Free takes effect immediately and is not refunded for the remainder of a period you have already paid for.

6. Availability & liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties. Exchange sync depends on third-party APIs which may fail or change. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from use of the app, including data loss, sync errors, or decisions made based on its analytics.

7. Changes

These terms may be updated as the product evolves; material changes will be announced in-app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
